Well, I had my “F” posting for “An Alphabet of Business Questions and Tips” all lined up for today, but a funny thing happened on the way to the posting.
I’m going to admit right here, this makes me a bit uncomfortable. Blowing my own horn is not something that comes easily to me, if at all. Really. As many of you know, I rarely talk about accomplishments, except for the accomplishments of others. It’s just how I’m wired.
But two fabulous (see? there is an “f” word in today’s post) things happened to me, and if you’ll bear with me, I’m gonna’ share.
First, my friend Barbara bestowed upon me, and nine other wonderful individuals this Sunshine Award. Thank you so much Barbara!
Here are the rules for accepting the award
1. Thank the person who gave this award and write a post about it.
2. Answer 10 questions.
3. Pass the award on to 10 – 12 deserved bloggers, link their blogs and let them know you awarded them.
And now for the Q&A
Favorite Color Black. Yes, I know black’s supposedly not a color, but there you go. And because in some cultures it represents water, north and winter, I think it’s apropos.
Favorite Animal Horse
Favorite Number 13. I met my husband 38 years ago on a Friday the 13th:)
Favorite Drink Water. Then red wine. Then single malt scotch. Was I only supposed to name one?
Facebook or Twitter Facebook and Twitter (depending)
Your Passion Life!
Giving or Receiving Gifts Giving.
Favourite Day Today, every day.
Favorite Flowers Lily of the Valley: my birthday flower:)
And now the fun part! Sharing with you some of my favorite people. (This means, of course that, like with any list, some awesome people will not get a mention here today. I’ll use the academy award line of…”oooooh, I’m sure I’m omitting someone”. For those omissions, my apologies.) So here goes:
Kim Davies of The3DRenderer
Kim is an accomplished writer, poet and artist who’s like a sister to me.
Bill Dorman of billdorman
Isn’t Bill on everyone’s list? The ultimate self-deprecating writer whose quick wit, comments and writing style make me LOL, and who’s always a trusted sounding board and friend.
Erica Allison of Allison Development Group
Erica’s writing is spot-on, her vlogs are fabulous and her friendship, a treasure.
Al Smith of The CARE Movement
Al’s working to bring his Positive Attitude Solutions to companies, by showing that morale and attitude of employees is key, and his key is through C.A.R.E. A most worthy cause!
Brankica Underwood of Live Your Love
If Brankica could pack any more valuable information into her “Blog Like A Star” posts, I don’t know how! Awesome content: awesome person:)
Gini Dietrich of Arment Dietrich and Spin Sucks
Gini was one of the first people who helped me online, and who’s always been there with great support and friendship. I don’t know how she’s able to do all she does! She says she has clones. I just think she’s a superhero hiding her true identity:)
Mark Harai of Mark Harai
Mark took a bit of a hiatus from blogging, and I missed him! But….he’s baaaack! Mark has a heart of gold, and is a true, genuine and caring soul.
Jayme Soulati of Soulati-TUDE
Jayme’s posts are always full of kick-butt, no-holds-barred, honest, helpful information. She’s got a style all her own:)
Shonali Burke of Waxing Unlyrical
Shonali is simply one of the nicest people I know: always supporting others, and her work with the Blue Key Campaign is remarkable. I love her posts:)
Jens P. Berget of Slymarketing
Jens is someone I’m just getting to know better, but I like what he writes about, and his comments are always well-thought out, and his content full of gems.
Jack of TheJackB
I.love.Jack’s.writing. ’nuff said:)
And last but not least, Elena Patrice of Websites Give Back. Elena is someone I’ve come to know as a dear friend, and who today honored me with an unexpected vlog about me and my work. Talk about starting off the week with a bang! So Elena is someone you should check out, not because she did this amazing vlog about me (although it rocks!), but because her company is a great example of combining business with philanthropy.
So there’s my list of Sunshine Award recipients. I hope you’ll drop by their sites and check them out:)
