I’m not very happy with Billy.
I’ve now written to him several times and received no reply.
Our courtship has not progressed quickly, but I do think it’s only proper that a gentleman respond to his sweetie.
Perhaps my Billy Braddy has found some other young lady and is traipsing around the countryside with her. Someone that, unlike me, his mother approves of. Or perhaps his mother has intercepted my postcards and thrown them away without his knowledge.
I’ve been careful to always close with “Your friend”, because to close with any other endearment will just enrage his mother should she see my missives. She doesn’t approve of me and I’m not sure why.
But right now my dander is up and I want Billy to know I won’t stand for his laziness. My sarcastic note should make my feelings clear to him.
