It Was the Bee’s Knees

The new electric sign opposite Radio City Music Hall, although eye-catching, just didn’t hit me the same way as the Radio City marquee. There’s something about the neon that is so much more appealing to me. But more appealing was the film we saw last evening: The Philadelphia Story. The fact that it starred Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn…well, that was the bee’s knees.

After the show we thought to walk around the area, but it was too frightfully cold. I never realized that New York in October could be so chilly. Perhaps by tomorrow it will warm up as we plan to go to the Central Park Zoo.

Kelly’s particularly excited because he want to have lunch at the zoo’s “Kelly’s Restaurant”, which he’s heard serves the most delicious meatloaf, gravy and mashed potatoes.

I will let you know if it’s as good as he hopes.
