It Was Time

By October 30, 2022Musings

She stood on the bridge and looked out at the scene before her, struck by its beauty. How she wished she could simply transport herself to wherever the tracks led.

It had been far too many years that she’d felt stuck in place. Rarely venturing forward, often looking back.

She thought of trains and how they moved forward, transporting people and cargo to destinations real and imagined. She wondered what it would feel like to be on a train now, moving away from what once was, toward the unknown.

Perhaps the track was speaking to her, beckoning her to take a chance. To let go…to move on.

It was time.
